The choice is yours, and please note that there are no restrictions on how much jumping around between archives you can do. If you have any trouble accessing the archives due to client mis-configuration, etc., please read the Conditions of Use for my FTP server before complaining to me. 8-) Also note that the original archives are in the process of being moved into the new gallery system. Note well that if your web client sends a lame password string (as both Netscrape and Internet Exploder do by default) it will most likely be rejected by the FTP daemon, so make sure you do read the guidelines properly...
